eesti keeles    The Estonian Newfoundland and Landseer Club

     Non-profit organization the Estonian Newfoundland and Landseer Club has founded on the 15th of September, 1998 and the club is recognized by the Estonian Kennel Union. The aim of the club is to promote newfound- land dogs and landseers in Estonia and to coordinate the breeding of new- foundland dogs. Club also considers important to develop the working instincts of newfoundland dogs and landseers, especially rescue in the water.

Assignments of the club are: 
  • To associate Estonian newfoundland dog and landseer breeders into the unitary club. 
  • To coordinate and control the breeding of newfoundland dogs and landseers according to the regulations of the Kennel Union of Estonia. 
  • To promote newfoundland dogs and landseers in Estonia. 
  • To organize dog shows, camps, different courses and other events for the breeders. 
  • To arrange obedience and waterrescue training for newfoundland dogs and landseers in order to develop the working instincts of those breeds and to prepare them for using as working dogs. 
  • To publish different materials about newfoundland dogs and landseers. 
  • To represent interests of the members in Estonia or abroad. 
  • To consult the Kennel Union of Estonia about the issues involving the breeding of newfoundland dogs and landseers. 
  • To communicate with the Kennel Union of Estonia and other clubs of the dog breeding in Estonia. 
  • To communicate with newfoundland and landseer clubs abroad.
